Supporting Youth: Angel Tree Ministry

For many children and family in our communities, the Christmas season may be hard financially and emotionally.  Messiah Lutheran members share God’s love by purchasing Christmas gifts for children in need during this time of year.  The mission is about so much more than the gifts we give.  As members of the body of Christ, we care for each other in all of our times of need and we want to spread the joy we have in the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. It is our prayer each year that the gifts we give bless the children that receive them as well as their families and that each recipient knows God’s unfailing love.

Supporting Youth: Pack them Back to School

With the help of our local schools, Messiah is proud to help support children in need who are going back to school with the purchase of new backpacks and school supplies.  Once the school supplies are packed and the backpacks turned in, a blessing is held over the backpacks along with a prayer that those who will carry the backpacks and all who are returning to school will have a safe year learning and growing and that all may feel the love of Christ through the gift.
