President
The President leads all meetings of the congregation as well as meetings of the council. He or she prepares an agenda for these meetings in coordination with the Pastor(s) and the committees of the congregation. This position is elected in even numbered years at the annual congregational meeting. Each term is two years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.

Vice President
The Vice-President performs the duties of the President in the President’s absence and acts as parliamentarian at congregation and council meetings. This position is elected in odd numbered years at the annual congregational meeting. Each term is two years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.
Scott Werner

Treasurer
The Treasure supervises the financial procedures, records, and investments of the congregation; including, rendering a monthly statement of income and expense compared to budget to the Congregation Council; signs all checks; delivers an annual financial report to the congregation; is a member of the budget and/or planning committee or finance committee; recommends written financial policies and procedures for cash management; directs the counting, depositing, and recording of all contributions, fees collected, gifts, and bequests received; reconciles each deposit to contributors’ records; issues quarterly statements to contributors; keeps individual giving records confidential; prepares annual report to the congregation and stewardship committee; monitors cash management policies and procedures and makes recommendations for changes to the Congregation Council.

Secretary
The Secretary records the proceedings of congregation meetings as well as council meetings. These recordings are filed in the church office and distributed as necessary. This position is elected in odd numbered years. Each term is two years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.

Worship Committee
The Worship Committee assists the Pastor with duties before and after worship services to ensure that services run smoothly. Some of the duties of our Worship Assistants include: unlocking doors, turning on lights, coordinating with acolytes, readers, and communion assistants, and making worship enjoyable and purposeful for members and visitors alike. This position is elected in odd numbered years. Each term is two years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.

Property Committee
The Property Committee oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the church building, grounds, and parsonage. This position is elected in even numbered years. Each term is two years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.
Allissa Marty

Education Committee
The Education Committee works with parish education for all ages but focuses especially on education opportunities for PreK-6* graders. This includes Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and GLOW!. This position is elected in even numbered years. Each term is two years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.

Stewardship Committee
The Stewardship Committee oversees yearly stewardship and commitment programs of the congregation; including the way in which we steward our lives year-round. This position is elected in odd numbered years. Each term is two years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.
Shirly Schacht

Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee welcomes visitors and connects with them after they have been in worship. They also focus on ways that our congregation can be present within our community.This is accomplished through taking part in community events and activities such as our Summer Swim Party and A’ROR’N Days as well as service projects organized by our congregation or by others in the community. The Outreach Committee also assists the Fellowship Committee with various events that involve both our congregation and our community. This position is elected in odd numbered years. Each term is two years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.

Fellowship Committee
The Fellowship Committee works to promote connection between members of our congregation through activities and events that allow us to come together and build relationships. Some activities that might be held by the Fellowship Committee are Bingo games, Winterfest, and congregational meals. The Fellowship Committee also assists the Outreach Committee with events and activities held that include the wider community. This position is elected in even numbered years. Each term is two years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee seeks candidates to fill open positions on Messiah’s various committees and boards. These nominations are announced to the congregation and voted upon at the Annual Meeting. Each term is three years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.

Audit Committee
The Audit Committee conducts a yearly audit of the financial books and procedures of the congregation prior to the Annual Meeting and reports their findings to the congregation in a written report. Each term is three years and individuals are eligible to serve two terms.

Memorial Committee
The Memorial Committee oversees gifts made to the church in honor or in memory of persons. This committee keeps up to date lists of items that the congregation could use and ways that these monies could be spent. This committee honors the designation of those giving gifts. Persons on this committee serve two-year terms.
